Jack Williams is a lecturer in international relations at the American University of Kurdistan, Iraq. He obtained his PhD in Political Philosophy from the University of Zurich where his research focused upon territorial rights and the role of respect in cooperation and conflict. Jack's longest train/ferry journey for an academic conference was Dublin-Zurich with a night stop over each way in London.
Alice el-Wakil is a researcher in political theory at the University of Zurich. Her research focuses on democratic theory, and particularly on institutional design, democratic innovations, popular vote processes, and theories of representation. Alice's favourite train line is the Budaptest-Bucarest night train (because they make fresh fries on board).
